experiencing homelessness, primarily in the Dublin region. Peter
McVerry Trust provides a wide range of services in the areas of

We are currently interviewing to form a panel for Activity
Co-Ordinator for U**Apply on the website**s Services. This is an

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* To develop and implement an activity plan for each resident that
will promote and embed a culture of a healthy activity in the service
including outdoor activities, health and fitness activities, creative
activities and activities to enhance well-being.
* To facilitate activities and workshops to promote activity, skills
development, well-being and confidence of each resident who uses our
services.
* To provide activities and programmes within agreed budgets.
* Ensure residents are consulted and involved in the development of
the programme of activities.
* Maintain a feedback system from residents in relation to the
programme.
* Intervention, support and supervision
* When required, advocacy and referral to community services;
* Supervising the behavior of the residents at all times;
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
_QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:_
* Degree level qualification in social care/youth work, addiction
studies or related field.
* Essential competencies: Commitment to providing the highest level
of service, respect for others, openness to change, communication
skills? oral, aural and written, contributing to the prevention and
management of challenging behavior, professionalism & maintaining
professional boundaries and effective team working. (All other
competencies to be reviewed as part of the supervision and support
process)
_DESIRABLE:_
* Previous Experience in Under **Apply on the website**s Residential
Services desirable
* Qualification in fitness instructor, outdoor pursuits or /?health
and fitness/ creative activities or related.
* Occupational first aid
